April 6, 1899 Ottawa Kansas "Word reached here from Oklahoma that Jake Buterbaugh, who once resided in this vicinity, committed suicide recently, after calling his friends in to pray for him and giving to them all his personal effects. He was found drowned near where he lived."
March 5, 1899
This one is buried in Payne County, Oklahoma, # 25703136 "Died Feb 25, 1899"

October 20, 1899 "M.R. Lovell returned from Pueblo, leaving Jake Butterbaugh in the asylum at that place." Lovell was the county sheriff)


ANOTHER POSSIBLE
There was a Jacob Buterbaugh owning land in Indiana County, Pennsylvania in 1877.

June 6, 1894 "Miss Alice Buterbaugh, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Buterbaugh, of Green township, died on Wednesday , May 30, of brain trouble. She was aged 22 years. The funeral ws held on Friday, the interment being in the Methodist cemetery at Cookport."

Another Jacob Butterbaugh, born about 1836 in Maryland, in Marshall County Iowa in 1880, farming. Emma is 32, New York, Elnora 13, ElKannsa son 12, and Alma 6, all three born in Iowa.
