Clovis Courcier

" He was born about 1831 in France according to the 1860 census of Montgomery County, Ill. He and his wife, Philomine had these children listed on the 1880 census of Lamar Co. Texas: Isabelle, Louis, Henry, Rosa, Clovis, Frank. Isabelle, Frank and Henry are buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Lamar Co. TX.
I think Clovis is related, possibly a brother, to my gggrandmother, Victoria Courcier who married Louis Bassett in 1862 in Montgomery Co. ILL. Victoria died in 1886 in Adams County, Nebraska. "

Celestine "Corcier" married Philomene Sole in Montgomery County, Illinois October 22, 1855.

In 1870 Christian County, Illinois, Celestia Courcier is 39, born in France, with Philomen 30, Isabell 12, Louis 10, Henry 8, and Rose 6.

In 1880 Lamar County, Texas, Clovis "Coincie" is 49, Philoimana 41, Isalla 21, Louis 20, Henry 17, Rosa 15, lovis 6, and Frank 4.

Clovis cash-claimed a quarter in 33, 2N 48W in 1890, next to William Orme, Hannibal H. Minor and Omer E. Houck, also in 1890
In 1900 Canadian County, Oklahoma, Mrs. P. Courcier is 60, widowed, born in Fance. She's living with son C. G. Courier born January 1874 in Illinois.
Clovis the son is in Texas County, Oklahoma in 1910, divorced, with C. George 5.
He's in Grady COunty in 1920, a linotypist, 45, with Martha 32 and Geore C. 15.

Clovis, born Nov 5, 1873 in Illinois, died in Fresno County November 5, 1873.

Louis was in Chickasaw Nation in 1900, 26, born in Texas, married to Blanche 22.
He's buried in Grady County, Oklahoma 1860-1947 # 22019775, with Blanche M. 1878-1942.

Henry Courcier married Addie Jones in 1894 in Lamar, Texas. He's buried in Lamar County, 1862-1907 # 71315031.

Rosa Ellen (Courcier) Folsom 1864-1930 is buried in Grady County, # 60419464.
