HISTORY

Middle Park is the area where Grand County was formed.  It got its name from the Colorado River which was called the Grand River along the section in Middle Park.  I will use these pages as a place to gather stories and accounts of the people and places of the Middle Park area, which later became Grand County.  These accounts are only part of the events that shaped the history of this county.  Every person who came here and every event, important or not, added to the whole.  By reading these stories, the histories found on the Towns page and the Biographies page (not up yet) you will get a better view of the people in Grand County.  If you have any stories, town histories, or biographies to add, please do.  Help make these pages more rounded.  So enjoy and browse around.
