The District Teachers Institute was opened here Monday with a large attendance.  At the first session the general plan was layed (sic) and the work is now well underway.  Two sessions per day are held.  About 64 teachers are taking the work.  Below we give the names of the teachers from the different counties; also the instructors with branches each one teaches.

   Parker - History, Grammar, School Management, Teaching Power Science

   Dow - Arithmetic, Physiology, Geography, Civics

   Miss Barnes - Primary Work, Drawing, Music, Physical Culture
