Originally a public cemetery, now is private and abandoned. The only known burial date is 1902. There are 16 graves. It is thought that this cemetery was used by the people that worked on the Gunnison Tunnel, but this cannot be proved. *
Directions: Located about 5 miles south of Montrose on US 550 to Trout Road, east 1.6 miles, on the east side of the road.

Maher Cemetery (Delta County) |
Old Crawford Cemetery, aka Maher Cemetery. The cemetery is located in Delta County. It is included in this volume as most of the people buried there were residents of the Maher area which is located in Montrose County.
The location is one mile south of Crawford on Highway 92 on a bluff overlooking the north east side of the Crawford Reservoir. The abandoned cemetery is on private property with no public access.

Inscriptions: 1887 through December 22, 1923
Also known as Cedar Grove Cemetery and Shavano Cemetery. The location is 1 mile south of Oak Grove School and 1 mile west and southwest of M & D Canal Bridge. Cemetery lies east of the highway and it would be through the county gravel pit which is kept locked. The cemetery is situated on property owned by Fred Donley. It is unfenced and inaccessible. (Sec. 11, T48N, R10W, N.M.P.M.)
A public, community cemetery, first known burial 1887, consists of about 84 graves; abandoned, last known burial was in 1923.
