Notes on lines these pages already print.
Open for adoption
Several pages use adoption language, and they do not use the same sentence. The front page asks if you are interested in adopting one of our available counties. The Adams page says the county is open and names Colleen. The county table puts OPEN FOR ADOPTION in a coordinator cell. The Adams note has the 1902 narrative. This note has the adoption lines.
The front page question
The sentence is: Are you interested in adopting one of our available counties? The link text is Click here for a full list. The href is wishlist.html. The sentence sits under the resources paragraph, after the guide link to research.html.
wishlist.html is the href on Click here for a full list. It is not a directory option. The about page's contact us sentence does not use that file.
The front page does not, in that sentence, name the counties. It points at wishlist.html. This note does not describe the inside of wishlist.html. It records the question and the href.
Available counties is the front page's phrase. OPEN FOR ADOPTION is the table's phrase. THIS COUNTY IS OPEN FOR ADOPTION is the Adams page's phrase. Three wordings. The table note has the column. The Adams page has the capitalised banner.
The about page does not use the word adoption in the lines quoted for the 1996 story. It says that if a county does not have a page, the reader should contact us, and that volunteers are needed. That is a fourth wording, on the about page.
The Adams banner and the temporary coordinator
THIS COUNTY IS OPEN FOR ADOPTION. IF INTERESTED, CONTACT COLLEEN. The line is in capitals. Colleen is the name it gives. No email is in the banner.
The later paragraph says My name is Colleen and I am the temporary county coordinator for Adams County, Colorado. She is open to questions, she does not live there, and the page prints I may have not be able to answer them. I will try.
Temporary is her word. The banner's word is open for adoption. Both are on the Adams page. The table's Adams cell is not this banner. The table's Adams coordinator is Denise Wells, with a mailto to scnewjersey@gmail.com.
A reader can hold Denise Wells in the table and Colleen on the county page because the pages label them differently. The table says County Coordinator. The Adams page says temporary county coordinator and prints the adoption banner. The list note keeps the state names off this banner.
The banner prints no email. The temporary-coordinator paragraph prints no email. Colleen is the name in the banner. Denise Wells remains the table's Adams coordinator.
The coordinator column
In the county table, OPEN FOR ADOPTION is the text of a link in the County Coordinator column. Baca's seat is Springfield and the coordinator cell is those words. Broomfield's cell is those words, and the mailto is ladyaudris@earthlink.net with the subject Broomfield County Adoption. Chaffee's cell is those words. The same capitalised phrase is on other rows as well.
The Kiowa adoption link's href is mailto:ladyaudris@earthlink.net.com, with .com written after .net. The visible words are still OPEN FOR ADOPTION. The address string is longer than the Broomfield one.
ladyaudris@earthlink.net, without the extra .com, is also the address the contact page prints for Colleen Pustola. The table uses that address on adoption links. The contact page uses it on her state lines. The Adams banner uses the name Colleen and does not print the address.
OPEN FOR ADOPTION is not a created-year and not a county seat. On Baca the seat is Springfield and the year is 1889. The adoption words occupy only the coordinator cell. The other cells stay filled.
Contact us, and volunteers
The about page says: if the county in which you are interested does not have a page and you wish to participate, please contact us. It then says volunteers are needed for creating and maintaining home pages, organizing archives submitted by volunteers, and transcribing public records. The question at the end is Won't you join us?
Colleen Pustola is named there as COGenWeb Assistant State Coordinator. The contact page names her Co-State Coordinator and Web Mistress. The Adams page says contact Colleen. The about page says contact us and then prints her name with the assistant title. The note leaves the verbs as the pages print them: contact us, contact Colleen, OPEN FOR ADOPTION.
The front page's wishlist.html link is the full list the sentence promises. The about page's contact us is not that link. The table's mailto links are not that link. Three mechanisms: a wishlist href, a contact-us sentence, and mailto links in a column.
Won't you join us? is the about page's question. Are you interested in adopting one of our available counties? is the front page's question. They are both questions. They are not the same sentence.
What adoption is not, on these pages
None of these lines names a fee. None of them names a hotel. None of them says how many counties are open, except by printing the words on particular rows and pages. This note does not add a count that the pages do not print as a total.
The Larimer page does not use the adoption phrase in the lines quoted for Greg Brown. He is the host. The State Coordinator label there is blank. Blank is not the same text as OPEN FOR ADOPTION. The Larimer note keeps the blank labels.
The front page does not print a total of open counties. Baca's row still has the year 1889 and the seat Springfield beside the adoption phrase.
Baca can be OPEN FOR ADOPTION in the coordinator cell and still have a created-year, a parent, and a seat. Adoption language replaces the coordinator name. It does not empty the row.
The front page asks, and points at wishlist.html. The Adams page names Colleen in capitals and again as temporary coordinator. The table prints OPEN FOR ADOPTION as a cell. The about page says contact us and names an assistant state coordinator. That is the set.
