Notes on lines these pages already print.
The site directory
The front page has a second select after the county list. Its labels are a directory of projects and record types, not a second copy of the county names. The front-page note names the county select. The menu note lists county options that leave the site. This note lists the directory labels and the values under them.
The labels in order
The block is headed Site Directory, and the heading is printed twice. The options then read: Home, About Us, County sites, History, Colorado Guide, Colorado Places, CO Archives, USGenWeb Archives, Special Projects, COKids, Tombstone Trans., Photo Project, Vital Records, Deeds/Land Rec., Census, Obituaries, Military, Ethnic Research, Lookup Vol., Maps, Gold Mine, In Our Memories, Naturalization Info, Volunteers, USGenWeb Archives again, Message boards, Email Lists, WorldGenWeb, and Useful Links.
Home in this menu points at index-2.html. About Us points at about.html. The top bar's phrase is About COGenWeb, and this option's phrase is About Us. Both can sit on the front page. County sites points at counties.html, which is the table page.
History points at history.html. Colorado Guide points at research.html. The sentence in the body calls that same destination Guide to Researching your Ancestors in Colorado. The option label is the shorter Colorado Guide. The link text in the paragraph is the longer name. Two labels, and the paragraph's href is research.html.
Colorado Places points at coplaces/index.html. Special Projects points at special.html. Vital Records points at vital.html. Census points at census.html. Ethnic Research points at ethnic.html. Lookup Vol. points at lookups.html, and the label abbreviates Vol. with a point. Maps points at maps.html. Gold Mine points at goldmine/index.html. In Our Memories points at memorial.html. Naturalization Info points at naturalization.html. Volunteers points at volunteer.html. Useful Links points at link.html.
Values that are not a tidy path
Photo Project points at photos, with no leading slash and no trailing slash. Deeds/Land Rec. points at codeeds, again with no slash. The label has a slash in Deeds/Land Rec. The value does not. The value is the single string codeeds.
messages.html is shared by Message boards and Email Lists. The two USGenWeb Archives values differ: one stops at the host, and the other continues into a search path.
Message boards and Email Lists both point at messages.html. Two labels, one value. The menu prints both labels. It does not say that the pages are the same. The values are the same string.
USGenWeb Archives appears twice. One value is http://usgwarchives.net/. The later one is http://usgwarchives.net/gsearch/googlesearch.html. Same label text, two addresses. The first is the site root on that host. The second is a search path.
Military points at https://cogenweb.com/military/index.html. That is an absolute address on this host, like the Yuma option in the county select. The directory uses a full address for Military and a short path for Maps.
Labels that leave the site
CO Archives points at http://usgwarchives.net/co/cofiles.htm. The first USGenWeb Archives option points at http://usgwarchives.net/. COKids points at http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cokids/. Tombstone Trans. points at http://www.usgwtombstones.org/colorado/colorado.html. Obituaries points at http://obits.coloradogravestones.org/. WorldGenWeb points at http://www.worldgenweb.org/.
Tombstone Trans. abbreviates Transcription as Trans. with a point. The value spells colorado twice, once as a folder and once as the file name. The about page mentions transcribing public records as volunteer work. This option is a menu address, not that paragraph.
WorldGenWeb in the directory is an address. World GenWeb in the about page's June 1996 paragraph is two words in a sentence about the project beginning. The 1996 note has the sentence. This note has the option value.
Obituaries points at a gravestone host. Tombstone Trans. spells colorado twice in its path. COKids points at a rootsweb address.
The directory does not describe the files at those hosts. It stores the addresses. The county menu's nine outside hosts are a separate list. CO Archives and USGenWeb Archives are directory labels, not county names.
How the body points at the directory
The resources paragraph says to begin with the Site Directory on the left sidebar, or to go directly to the Guide to Researching your Ancestors in Colorado page. The sidebar phrase and the select heading are the same words, Site Directory. The guide link is research.html, which is also the Colorado Guide option.
The adoption sentence is the next paragraph, and it points at wishlist.html. Wishlist is not one of the directory option labels quoted above. It is a link in the paragraph. The adoption note follows that sentence onto the pages that print OPEN FOR ADOPTION.
New information is added all the time, so please be sure to check back often. That sentence is on the front page under the guide link. It does not name a weekday.
The directory is a list of labels and values. The paragraph is the instruction to use it. The county select above it is the list of counties. A reader who opens the wrong control gets counties instead of record types, or the reverse. The page stacks them.
Labels the top bar also uses
Special Projects, COKids, Volunteer, and Contact are on the top bar. Special Projects, COKids, and Volunteers are also directory options. Contact is on the top bar and is not in the directory list quoted here. Volunteers in the directory has an s. Volunteer on the top bar does not.
COKids on the top bar is a menu word. COKids in the directory points at the rootsweb address. The same spelling is a bar item and an outside value. The note does not assume they open the same file.
About COGenWeb on the bar and About Us in the directory are different strings. The directory's About Us points at about.html, which is the page with the 1996 narrative. The bar's wording is the project name.
The directory's County sites value is counties.html. That is the five-column table. The county select above the directory is the jump menu of county names. Two ways onto county material, two controls. The table note quotes the columns. The directory note quotes the option that points at the table.
